The lyrics in Thirty Days is try to express the eagerness of freedom to the audience. For an example, “If I don’t get no satisfaction from the judge, I’m gonna take it to the FBI and voice my grudge.” At that time, the open rebellion from young generation starts to be expressed through rock music. Among them, Thirty Days is an outstanding song to me. In a happy tone, Chuck perfectly expresses his hope to experience the very different life, not “traditional good life defined by mainstream”. And his voice that pure but high-pitched is very easy to arise sympathy from his audience, other young generation.
