Crosby, Stills, Nash& Young- Teach Your ChildrenI selected this song because if its title. The title was really special and meaningful. The timbre of the singers was beautiful and warm, and the tempo was slow. The instruments that were used in the sonf were the bass and the guitar. The music was about generation gap between parents and children and how they dealt with the problem. However, this song was very positive, it encourages us to build a connection between parents and children. The texture of the song was thin, and the mood was a little bit sad.Part of the lyrics: ‘ Don’t you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry, so just look at them sigh and know they love you.’After reading the lyrics for several times, i understood the meaning of those words. A teenage child might terribly say something bad to their parents without thinking. However, the lyrics was about the parents’s feeling, and it serves as a reminder that even when you were hurt by your children’s words, just remembered that they still love you.The lyrics of the song really stood out to me, and i thought it was very touching. Therefore, i recommend you to listen this song not only because it had beautiful melody, but also because the message is really significant.
